Rice Krispies Hearts

Rice Krispies Hearts

Rice Krispies Hearts
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cups mini-marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper or wax paper. Set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. When melted, add in marshmallows and mix until all are melted. Remove from heat.
  3. Add in red food coloring until you reach the desired red/pink color.
  4. Stir in Rice Krispies cereal and combine until well coated with marshmallow mixture.
  5. Using a buttered spatula, press rice krispies mixture into the 9x13 pan. Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
  6. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out hearts of rice krispies treats. Enjoy!

Sidenote:  You can do the same thing, adding green, and cutting out shamrocks for St. Patty's, etc.  You can even use fruity pebbles or cocoa krispies for this recipe. (The fruity pebbles is a lot sweeter though, so be forewarned.)

1/3 c Epsom salts
1/3 c brown sugar
4 Tbsp baby oil
2 tsp vanilla extract

Just mix all together in a bowl and voila!  This is enough for a few uses (if you use on your whole body).

Wet your washcloth or body pouf and scrub. It's also great for gifts or to make for a sleepover party craft!

Welcome to Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezie Crafts!

Thanks to Yvonne, who unknowingly gave me a great blog title for super easy crafts to do with your kids (or yourself).

It's a work in progress, but I'll try to create some posts that review craft products out there, and maybe some hints and tips on how to make certain types of crafting even easier.  I'll even share a few crafting fails (as well as post yours if you would like to send them to me with a pic or two).

I find different easy crafts in books, on the web, in magazines, and just from my own creativity.  When I can, I link to the original source on the web.  If something is from your page and I have not given proper credit, please let me know and I will do so.

So welcome, grab your glue gun, and hang around a while!
